There is a report of a Continental airliner crashing into a house in a Buffalo neighborhood in rainy weather. Residents of the home were reported to have escaped without injury. No word yet on the passengers or crew. Stay tuned folks.

Damn, this sucks. Just off the tails of the great Captain Sully triumph comes this.

Damn.

Oh my gosh! I cannot believe this. And, yeah...right on the heels of Captain Sullys amazing Triumph. Lord, I pray that there are lives spared in this tragedy. I had to rewind the TV to be sure I heard correctly.

I sure hope so too by whatever stroke of good fortune may be left. My heart hurts for the victims and their families.

I just flew back from the Maldives last week and was nervous all the way. Always happens right after a plane crash.

It's amazing to me that only one house on the ground was destroyed; evidently adjacent houses sustained only minor damage. That is pretty unusual for a plane that can carry almost 80 passengers. I've read reports that the plane was in a partial nose dive, so that may help explain the limited damage area.
