You'll notice that the article was written in February 2009. It was just a publicity stunt to get free advertising. That's what Ryan Air does, and this stunt is still getting mileage.

What happens if I forget to bring cash to pay for the toilet? Can I unload on the floor next to the flight attendants' seats? I might also add that I love spicy food, cheese, and corn; occasionally all three in one meal

It's one thing to charge for drinks (especially alcoholic) and things like pillows and blanket kits. But I draw the line at the lavatories. That's just absurd.

And chances are the airlines would make it a credit/debit card just to take a dump. I don't use my credit cards unless I absolutely have to, so I resent having to use them when I have available cash.

I'm old enough to remember when it used to cost 10 cents to use the bathroom at a lot of department stores. All the ladies held the door for each other. Same thing would happen on a plane. Silly idea.
