"........Addressing another aspect of in-flight passenger conditions, a survey by travel community website TripAdvisor has revealed that 79 per cent of Britons believe there should be child-free zones on planes.

And while 88 per cent of travellers without children said they would like to see the introduction of adult-only areas, it also emerged that 71 per cent of parents agree."

let me guess, they would throw all of us with kids in the back--heck NO!!!!
tell you what, if they make some special seats or areas where kids are not welcome, they should have to pay more for it, and the area cant always be up front.

Typical Daily Mail article, announced on the basis of an interview of 509 Brits.

That said aircraft were just about the last refuge from the mobile phone.

Children and adults can be as unruly as each other.

I sat next to someone on a plane when the drugs they were carrying split inside them!

How about a 'fat' people zone?
And a smelly food eating zone?
And a B.O. zone for the smelly passengers?

This is so silly. Everyone was a kid once. Get over it and buy some earplugs.

I like this idea. The airline has the right to do as they please in the free market and if they believe that this will make the experience better for others, so be it! I wouldn't like to be around annoying kids and if an airline wanted to do, it could be a good move.

I think the ideas mimimomx3 would work, however they could be sued for those things.

I think they should plexiglass in the last 6 rows of the plane. On one side they could have the smokers, the other half would be kids/families.

In all honesty, I'd be happy to pay more for a seat if I would be guaranteed a kid-free experience. Not all kids are bad, but the ones who are can really ruin your flight. Sure, some adults can be annoying, but it's mainly the kids.

And give the kids lung cancer?! I LOVE that planes are non-smoking!

This is BS, kids require accommodations from other passengers due to them being unruly or noisy and frequently out of control, for this reason a separate area in the back is perfect. Why do you think the rest of the passengers should pay more? That makes no sense whatsoever, if anything the people with kids should be the ones paying more!

What's wrong with the luggage hold for the kids- you could put a ball pond in there!

And for the phones install an outside phone booth.
