I've lived in every time zone, and visited just about every region except for three.
New England. I live in New York City, but haven't made the trip up north yet. Really want to go sometime though.
Deep South. Lived in Arkansas very briefly, and have visited Texas, but haven't been anywhere deeper than that. I'm interested in visited Florida at least once.
Upper Midwest. I am passing through Wisconsin in a couple of weeks on a trip, but that's about it. I have no desire to visit the Dakotas or Minnesota.
I haven't been to Alaska either, though I am not sure if it's considered it's own region. Hawaii, however, I have been to.

You need to make this trip. Love going there in the fall, it's gorgeous...
In NJ now, but feel like the "least traveled" person here, as I have ONLY been up and down the east coast. Out of this part of the country, New England is my favorite...just gorgeous.
Would like to go and see the rest of the country...and plan to...but the place I really am interested in is the northern coast of California..north of San Francisco...
Salem, Massachusetts is in my future plans. Never been to the Northeast and always been fascinated by the history of the Salem Witch Trials. Always wondered why it was never emphasized more in Social Studies classes in our public schools. Anyways, heard it's a blast up there, particularly in October. I've always loved Halloween too. This, along with a leaf changing tour up there=my dream vacation right now.

We've gone a few times at Halloween. VERY much fun! There is a vampire ball, I can't remember at which venue. But it's full costume required and actually pretty ritzy.
It is amazing how people can dismiss broad areas of the country as boring. I live in Chicago, and I have to admit that I head to Nebraska and Minneapolis a couple of times a year and have a blast.
Nebraska has some phenomenal museums and a lot of great people. It is by far one of the most poorly marketed state.
I think people fall for the stereotypes of certain states and dismiss them all together, which is a shame, because they're missing out on so much. Every state has something great to offer. Even the so called "boring" states. If I had believed everything I heard about Kansas, (flat, most boring state ever, yada, yada, yada), I would've missed out on so much that it has to offer. Instead, I ended up discovering Tall Grass Prairie National Preserve, which was absolutely stunning, relived the Wild Wild West in Dodge City, which was awesome, and discovered that, contrary to the typical stereotype of Kansas being flat, Eastern Kansas is actually pretty hilly, with some absolutely gorgeous views of the landscape.
I've been to just about every region besides the South West(I don't think southern california counts).
There are still many places I need to see. Grand Canyon, Montana, Maine, New Orleans.
