Post News, Swine flu hits cruise ship passengers.

More than 2,000 cruise ship passengers have been asked to quarantine themselves for a week after two Australian children aboard the liner tested positive for swine flu.

"We are all requesting that all people onboard this ship remain in quarantine for seven days," New South Wales chief health officer Kerry Chant told reporters after the Pacific Dawn arrived in Sydney.

That's crazy. I'm not sure I'd comply with that request if I weren't feeling ill.

Living in Orlando, this topic comes up a lot. I just make sure to wash my hands each time I come home. I'm not sure what else a person could do. As far as the cruise ship deal, I guess I would comply just in order to avoid any possible outbreak to anyone else.

They were already off the ship and either back home or in their land hotels.

And on the ship they should handle it like they do with Norwalk. If you're sick you're confined to your cabin, otherwise, have a great time. Can you imagine going on a cruise for a week and being in an inside cabin and not being sick, and then being told everyone was confined to their cabin, sick or not? It would be like being in jail!
