Driving advise (motels, Washington, St. Louis, Columbus)

Will drive from St. Louis MO to Washington D.C this week, plan to stop for a night on the way, anybody got any suggestions?

Columbus, OH is roughly the half way point; Exit 110 (Brice Road) is the first exit East of the I-270 loop. (that way, you wouldn't be dealing with Columbus' rush hour traffic in the morning...)There are TONS of motels & restaurants at this exit. Have a great trip!
