If you had no obstacles at all and could travel to anywhere in the world you wanted to, where is it that you would choose to go on that dream vacation?

I'd love to take 6 months and travel through out Australia. That's one country I have never visited.

I would love to be able to explore the islands in the South Pacific and take my time doing it. Right after that would be to travel all of Europe. I always wonder if someone handed me a blank check--like millions in the lottery--which dream trip I'd take first.

Or a Starbucks.
A friend of mine finagled his way over to Cuba and said the poverty was very depressing (and this guy has been all over the place; he is no stranger to developing countries.)

I have several dream vacations in the back of my mind.
One of them would probably not be that difficult to accomplish, all it takes his timing and money. I'd love to visit the UK in late May/early June and tour some of the finer gardens.
I'd also like to get to Australia some day, and spend a month or so there.
I'd love to find me some opals.

Italy. Even though we've been there recently, I'd still go again. For longer. We'd rent an Alfa and drive to the various destinations, at a leisurely pace. We'd stay in apartments right in the middle of the city and go to the markets, buy groceries to cook at home, as well as eat out. We'd not run around seeing galleries and museums so much, as just "hang out" and enjoy the energy of Italy.

One of those bungalows on the water in the south pacific. Or Dubia - on one of the man made islands or the hotel that looks like a sail or one of the underwater hotel rooms.

There are other places I want to see just as much but those are way out of my budget and will never happen, therefore they are totally a dream.

So many places , so many things to see and do.

But these would be top of my current list :

A Gastronomic tour of Japan , staying in traditional ryokans , sailing around the World , going back to Southern Chile , back to the Galapagos Islands or a driving tour of the Americas starting in Quebec Province, down to Ushuaia , back up via central America finishing in Alaska after a very long detour to visit a large part of the US.
And of course the whole of Europe , spending months in each country.
