No. As the old saying goes, the two happiest days in a boat owners life are the day he buys it and the day he sells it.

If anyone wants to give it to me as a gift, I bet I could run it as a very successful B&B somewhere in the Mediterranean. That might be fun for a couple of years.

Is it OK to wander around in blue jeans and a t-shirt if I owned that thing? I'd make all the crew wear uniforms, though. Dress 'em up like pirates.

Interesting guy, started as a factory worker who also sold dolls from his apartment, & got tight with Yeltsin which eventually helped him to acquire a petroleum co for a fraction of its value. Recommended Putin to succeed Yeltsin, 'nuff said...

When the aluminum industry became privatized hundreds of people in all sorts of areas were murdered in the transition until he gained final control, then it became peaceful. One source claims he hires the Russian Mafia for millions annually for protection.

I can handle the $10K boat yard bill that includes a Yanmar rebuild. Operating a huge yacht like that would consume my net worth in a few weeks.

Just a note from the mod. This is a 9-year-old thread which was resurrected by a spammer (post has been deleted). You may continue to post, but I wanted you all to be aware that it's an ancient thread.
