That sounds like a lot of fun. I would like to do this. How can i sign up?

It's already being done through one of the features of Luxury link.com, which (among identified luxury resorts) offers a chance to bid on different "Mystery" vacation packages.
There are currently two different bid packages available to somewhere in the Caribbean for 1 week and somewhere in Mexico for 3 nights. Starting bids open at $1 but they of course go up from there. The Caribbean high bid is $850 and the Mexico high bid is at $247. Airfare excluded. Haven't bid yet on one of the Mystery auctions but think I probably would someday.
Bumping because I only recently heard of mystery vacations and wondered if any of you have tried this (more recently than the 9 years ago this thread was started, haha).
Company recommendations, other tips?
Would you pay, let's say $500 $1,000, and board a plane for a one-week overseas vacation, all paid including plane fare, to an exotic unknown destination?
My mother, in her 70's, used to go with her lady friends on a Mystery Tour on the bus, for a weekend, which would drive them a couple of states away and do winery tours and flea markets and dinner theaters, without announcing any details or destinations in advance.
So, would you embark on such a vacation, which could turn out to be in Azerbaijan or Dar es Salaam or Bolivia or a tiny Philippine island?
If I was in my 20's I would not have a problem with that on an international level. Now that I'm elderly and have to depend on health stuff outside my control I couldn't do it, plus I need my comfort, creaky bones and all that.
Out of country, No. I want to determine where I am going, & have no desire to go to places I have been already.
