As you've probably found, a one way ticket is about as expensive as a round trip ticket, sometimes more expensive. Have you considered purchasing a round trip and throwing the return coupon away? Do you have a preference for your departure city? I did a quick check in internet and found www.flightpositive.com an Airline information directory having tons of information.
I don't know if you can use priceline for flights originating in Europe, but it might be worth looking into if you are flexible as far as travel dates and times.
