It is VERY close to the Metro, it has a very close view of the Pentagon and a good view of Arlington National Cemetery. It includes the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. Also has very nice kitchen area in each unit. Short subway ride right into the city. We hve stayed here 3 times and most likely will again unless we find a Residence Inn closer for the same price but that is unlikely.

Thanks for the tip, but that's one of the hotels I'm already talking to. One of our chief requirements is a short walking distance to the Metro because some of our members are mobility impaired. Additionally, there are enough of us that using a hotel courtesy car to a more distant station isn't a very good option because it would take several round trips to get us all there. And, using the Metro to get into town is a necessity. Many of our members come from rural areas and God knows what mischief we'd get into by trying to convoy our cars to the Mall. I can see DC getting filthy rich from the parking tickets! LOL
By the way, I'm also dealing with the Hampton Inn in Old Town Alexandria and, while their quote is about $40 higher than the Churchill, I know what I'm getting with a Hampton. Booking rooms on-line is always a crap shoot when it comes to quality and especially when dealing with a privately owned facility. That's why I asked my question here.
