This past week we stayed in a great place in Boothbay Harbor, ME. It was right on the harbor with a fantastic view. We had a balcony on the second floor. Cap'n Fishes was the name of it. It was also one of the more reasonably priced ones I had checked out. Many were more money with NO view. Weather was great while we were there. It was a short walk - maybe 1/4 mile - across a foot bridge to the area where most of the shops and restaurants are. Ate dinner there at "Thistles" and would recommend that too. Our reason for visiting was to see the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, which were absolutely gorgeous.. This is a part of Maine we rarely get to but was very glad we chose mid summer. Next time we will be sure to get out on one of the sail boats you can take.
