Does anybody know of any sites that you can search by state to locate cheap, used motorhomes? I am in need of one soon. Hope you can help. Thanks.

rvtrader.com lets you specify a zip and radius
Crazedlist.org lets you chose by region (I use SW and Westcoast for non-rust)

How cheap?
What region?
What size?
What running gear?

Let us know your preference and we can keep an eye out.

I would check the local classifieds and bulletin boards. This is not the time of year to sell a RV. Anyone listing one this time of year probably needs to sell asap and could be willing to negotiate on the price.

My family complains that they have trouble finding RV parks that will let them in. They have a rather beat-up 197X small RV, and report that many parks now have an "Age Limit".

They do live in SanDiego, though, so perhaps that's the problem.

Does anyone know if this is happening all over the country, or is SoCal the only place with snooty RV parks?

try Craigslist. You can sort by distance or city or region.
