I love to fly!

I'm not sure if I understand all the security "stress". I follow the guidelines and have NEVER had a problem with the screeners.
I use the waiting time to people watch.
But see, I love to travel and this is all part of the adventure.

Now that being said. If it's feasible, I'd rather drive. If I had a choice of driving cross country and flying and time was no issue. I'd drive. Only cuz you can stop if you see something interesting. And with me?? It would take a couple months just one way. Food's better too.

Back before 9-11, flying was fun, I used to fly a lot for work, but since 9-11, I think it sucks. It's still the most time and cost effective way to get from coast to coast, but it's no longer fun.

When I was single, traveling alone, frequently flying cost little more than driving, but now that I would want to take DW along, she can ride along with me in the car for essentially free, but flying means buying 2 tickets.

I'm about average height, 5'10" - I feel for you Gman, big guys don't fit well in the small seats of American domestic carriers. Usually the European and Asian carriers have a little more humane seat spacing.

Cant say its the 'coolest' but it is the quickest way to get from point A to point B.
