Default Can I sell my FF miles with Delta?

I have a gazillion ff miles on delta due to 4 trips to vietnam for 2 different adoptions. They will expire in December 11 and I doubt we can afford a family vacation by that time, even with free airfare. So how can I sell those miles and not lose their value completely?

Absolutely not. Very much against Delta's and all airlines FF policy.

Well, I see people try to do it on ebay. Frankly I can't figure out how that could possibly work. You have to order the ticket in your name and claim the other person is a family member I guess, work very closely with the buyer and so forth. It would be very difficult even setting up the deal. That being said, if Delta finds out, they treat it pretty serious - you will lose your miles outright, your status, ban you from ever getting miles again, etc...and they do employ people to enforce it and they do look at ebay to see who is trying it.

It's been discussed in the below forum site and you can do a search, the general consensus is don't even try it.

I would suggest you go to Delta's Frequent Flyer website and see what partner programs, etc. you can use or sign up for to get a few more FF miles in order to keep the account active. Usually this keeps one's miles from expiring.
