perhaps someone who flies more often than me can chip in....

i'm flying for the holidays, one flight in the US, and then one down to Mexico.

I have asthma and would like to take my inhaler. I've looked at the TSA website, but I just wanted to see if anyone else who has traveled with medication can familiarize me with what all I need to avoid trouble.

thanks!

YOu need to have your script on the bottle. If it is an inhaler it may not have it (my son's inhaler doesn't have label on inhaler, they put it on the box at pharmacy). Just to be on the safe side, you might see if you can get the written prescription.

With that being said, I carried a whole bag of non-prescription meds in my carry-on. Just make sure they are in the proper Ziploc bag recommended by the TSA.

I had all my meds in the prescription bottles in a make up bag on my trip, nothing was questioned.

I always fly with medications... valium. Try it. It's good for dealing with American Airlines. Especially when they cancel your flights and put you in a roach motel.

An AA flight ran off the runway in Kingston Jamaica last night. Everyone is "okay mon!"

Let's hope Montego is not as slippery.

AA cancelled a flight of ours to NYC a few months ago and we were "stuck" at DFW, *put us up at a nice hotel though.

Anyway, great luck nismospec and have fun in Mexico!

*edit - "put us up" = WE paid.
