BERLIN (AP) — A 41-year-old American tourist on a sightseeing tour of Germany streaked through a historic city's center, apparently just to see what it was like to be naked in Nuremberg.

People who were treated to the Monday afternoon spectacle were less than impressed and pointed the streaking sprinter out to nearby traffic police, who took the man into custody, authorities said Tuesday.

Thanks for posting, John! When we lived overseas, my wife and I tended to stay away from areas we knew a lot of Americans would gather. I love my countrymen, but too many of them have NO clue how to act when abroad and don't care about offending the sensibilities of their hosts...

Among my pet peeves: Americans who ignore "NO PHOTOGRAPHY" signs.

When I was much younger and in Germany for the first time. I proceeded across an intersection before the "WALK" light had come on. A German woman, who spoke perfect English" chided me: "This is not New York"...

LOL....true, we are very seponsible when it comes to traffic issues for vehicles and pedestrians alike.
The reaction to the naked guy, however, really surprises me......We are still laying around at the beaches topless (girls), who cares if a naked guys is running around????
We did that during nights, after some beers....lol.....(wait, THAT as during my teenage years...ok???lol.......my husband would kill me now....lol)
