I am plannig a girls long weekend out. Most will be traveling from NY-Long Island/NYC and I will be traveling from Atlanta. I am thinking about April what would you do and/or where would you go? So far the only ideas I have are DisneyWorld and Vegas but I need some others. Tampa Miami (Atlanta NYC) are all out.

What is your budget? What would you like to do? I once did a girl trip to St Thomas, USIV but I don't know if you're looking for a caribbean beach trip.

Chicago is perfect and you have direct flights from both those cities. Tons to do there, great restaurants, and an excellent public transportation system.

I second this!!
plenty to do in SF + Napa area is very nice in April.

Austin and Nashville can be fun also (closer).

I really depends on your interests, if it is to to a big city, there are many, if it is for shopping, I would look to a tax free zone.

Beach can be good as well, If relaxation is the ticket, do an island, if non-stop entertainment is required DON'T do an island.
I get really tired of Vegas very quickly, Disneyworld also.

What about Paris, Madrid, Lisbon, San Sebastian ? (all fairly close and really fun, pretty cheap to get there too)

Hmm if you just want a long weekend (don't know your budget yet), I think a girl trip would be fun in Vegas if you have never been. You can shop, get beauty treatments, sit by the pool, gamble, go out at night, go walk up and down the strip, and eat at some great places.

I am a sucker for Disney World though

Hey Guys I am not sure of the budget yet(but will have it soon) but I would say up to 1k each for everything. I would say strickly beach is out because a friend doesnt really like it so much. What about LA or something in SoCal? Never been and have no idea what to expect as far as cost for travel etc and the things to do. Thx so much for your posts guys!!!

If you are looking for an extended weekend and not a 10 day trip then you need to stay on the east coast. If y'all choose LA y'all are losing TWO days to flying/airports (especially the NY'rs). Figure 6-8 hours for flying, about 2 hours at airports and 1 hour each way from home/hotel to airport and visversa. So thats 10-12 hours lost which is basically a whole day.

Another option would be someplace where they can drive, and you can get picked up along the way. I strongly suggest looking at The Mirror Lake Inn. THE PERFECT PLACE for a girls weekend.

Spa Getaway Package - Lake Placid Resort & Spa Getaway Package

Spa, great food, park the car and walk into town for great boutiques, some nightlife, very relaxing and tons of fun, and the price with the off-season package can't be beat. As long as you tell them it's a girls weekend they will put you in rooms with two queens that are next to each other.
