Here's a site with promo codes for hotels:

Las Vegas Hotels | Hotel Promo Codes | Las Vegas Hotel Discount Codes

And the best I've found are the travel forums on Fat Wallet. Tons of great info there.

Coupons, Deals, and Cash Back Shopping - FatWallet.com

Fat Wallet is wonderful!

Also go to the Hotel websites and sign up for their cards. They will send you special rates and such.

Those are two of the best ways of finding deals.

I also would check out Tripres.com for hotel deals.

For show deals, try Goldstarevents.com

Back to the hotel websites. Sign up for ALL of them and you'll deals than you'll ever expect to.

I have good luck calling the hotels directly. If it is a hotel you have never stayed at before, be sure and tell them that. Also, if you are planning to stay on the strip, most of the hotels are owned by either MGM or Harrahs. You might try calling a Harrahs property and tell them you have always stayed at a MGM property in the past and are looking for a change.
