I'm not sure if I want to go to NYC next week because they are expecting a rain& snow storm, or head to miami for a cruise and the weather will be much better as well? Which I know will cost more, but it will be so worth it because that is my bday wknd.

What would you do?

Actually there is not much snow or ice in NYC at this time. It is just very cold. So if you like going to museums, shopping & Broadway shows, then NYC is the place for you.
On the other hand, if you like to be outdoors and don't suffer from seasickness, then a cruise from Miami might be better suited to your tastes.

Not sure where you're from, but I'm in the NYC area right now and it is beyond freezing. Definitely not comfortable for walking around. I'd stick to Miami!

I would definitely pick Miami and the cruise. Right now it is 15 degrees in Delaware and has been snowing for several hours. While next week's temps are supposed to be normal for February, we were not supposed to have this much snow today and it was to start this evening instead of late morning. You always take a chance when you travel north this time of year. However, Miami is usually very nice in Feb. Of course, I just talked to a friend who lives in South Georgia and she says it's 39 degrees today. So you never know.

I live in MA..about 2 and a half hours from NYC. The VA/DC area got rocked with a snow storm, but our forecast up here doesnt call for snow, at least not in the next 4 days or so. I think we missed the snow. so, Im not that far from NYC, so I dont think they are getting hit either. At least not in the next couple of days. lol

Its winter time, so yeah its gonna be cold out. Depending on how far you are from either place, Id say go to the place that is closer for you to get to. I dont like traveling in the winter, because it may not be storming where you start from, but you may run into bad weather along the way.

I love NYC..so im gonna pick NY!

It's winter man - Doesn't matter if it snows or not, NYC will be cold, that wind just blasts through the Manhattan skyscrappers and makes walking around painful. No way around it.

Man up and go to NYC and deal with it, if that's what you want. Just be aware, New Yorkers about this time of year escape the city and go to Miami to go on cruises.

Edit - I don't see any snow "storm" in the NYC forecast, no idea where you got that from. I see snow showers, no big deal.
