What are some places in the US that are like Waikiki Beach. I'm referring to popular beaches with high-rise hotels and lots of clubs nearby. Thanks.

The only other places that may come close is places like Miami, but that's still by looks and activity, not by flavor. Otherwise you need to leave the US to get anything similar.

Thanks. Is Miami the only place in the US like this? I'm referring more to the looks aspect, not the beach quality.

I've been up and down the eastern seaboard and the southern California coastline....

There are a few places that come to mind....Ocean City, MD is one. Ocean City Maryland Hotels, Ocean City MD Motels, Vacation Rentals, East Coast Beach Vacations, Weather and you can see the shoreline from water's view. I don't think they can build as 'high' as Waikiki...remember the eastern seaboard is hurricane territory.

And of course Miami/South Beach area....I flew to MIA and from the air it looks to have high rises everywhere.

As far as the club scene, Myrtle Beach is a southern favorite for graduating high schoolers, college kids, and military...and of course bikers during biker week. They have some high rises as you can see in the lower photo.
City of Myrtle Beach - Welcome to Myrtle Beach

Out Savannah, GA way is Tybee Island where those youngsters go, lots of clubs...but not many high rises.

And Daytona beach, alot of spring breakers there. And they have tall buildings on the beach.

Miami Beach is the only comparable place that I can think of. It is a far cry from Oahu, but it is a fun place and busier than Waikiki.

I like the idea of Miami Beach. But I don't like the idea of places so remote. Not as bad as Hawaii, but it's on the extreme corner of the continent. (I must have a condition that's like anti-claustrophobia.)

What about around the south. Or California?
