What's the coolest airport you've been to?

I'd say for me either the new Hong Kong, or KL Airport. The Hong Kong airport more for it's sheer size; it's like a giant bicycle wheel with spokes, each one like more than a mile long! Takes what seems like half an hour to walk from one end to the other. The one in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is cool because of the 'sky-trains', and some of the things they have there. Although I've never been out of the Asia-Pacific region so my experience is limited.

Dubai is pretty cool as it is shopping heaven. However, it is soooooo crowded with people transferring from flights all over the world, that it makes shopping less than blissful.

I like small airports, so I'd go with Santa Barbara CA. It reminds me more of a train station. It's designed like a Spanish Mission, with palm trees, tiled floors, and nice cool breezes.

Singapore by far.

Hong Kong is pretty nice, very modern. Dubai? No. I couldn't get over those stainless steal toilet holes for the locals to straddle and use and almost lost my lunch when I stepped into one of those stalls. Too hard to get an adult beverage as well (understandably, given the location). Otherwise, nothing impressive to see at Dubai that is not at any other airport.

Business class lounge is good - all the booze and food you want. Also if you fly business and spend the night you come back to a part of the terminal for first and business only. That was quite cool. Felt like we were really special!

Your idea of "cool" seems to hinge more on the architectural side.
That's not my idea of "cool" (but I do understand your question)!
Mine is the design of how it operates- the convenience for the passenger/customer. How easy it is to get to and from a gate. How long does it take to get to the luggage pickup, etc.
One of the worst- right here in my hometown, ATL!
One of the best- DFW

If those were the criteria I'd have to say my airport - Glasgow.

I prefer smaller airports (Class C airspace). They are less busy, which means less delays, and the people seem friendlier. Also, terrorists don't seem to target smalelr airports with flights that are less than full.

Don't know about that. Glasgow is small but a terrorist drove his car into the terminal in 2007.
