Spending a month ( mid sept/mid oct) in San Francisco and Mid coast to Northern California and can't wait. I am having a really hard time at the moment and it will be a much needed rest.

Right in my own backyard!! When you have some of the greatest mountains in the world at your fingertips, and you love the outdoors, then it just makes sense to stay in the great state of Colorado!! I am sure that I won't be alone!!

Oh geez, where to start?? It would take me DAYS to suggest all the specific spots to visit up here, so I'll just give you some "bigger suggestions"...
Santa Cruz, Monterey/Carmel/Big Sur, Muir Woods, Mendocino County, Napa/Sonoma (wine country), Humboldt County (WAY up north, but worth a look!), Old Town Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, and of course there's endless stuff to do in San Francisco. If you want more specifics, I'll give you some later, or you can look up my posts over on the San Francisco forum.

And to answer the original question, unfortunately I'm working full-time through the summer... so no real vacations for me, though my mom & I are planning a Vegas trip in July. Yuk - Vegas in July! But we rarely leave the casino when we're there, so air-conditioning keeps us happy... LOL.

Been back 3 weeks from our trip to Japan. Had an amazing time-our friend and travel agent (who is Japanese) went with us, and showed us "her" country. We saw so much more than we could have done alone. May take a Bahama cruise in Sept. Got to check the finances first!

Been down to Gulf Coast of MS twice, traveled from one state line to other to see Katrina damage on last visit, it is still rough in many places. Go back to Biloxi last week in June, then off to Georgetown, Ky for a quick see of town and Toyota plant.

In Spring break of next year we go to Hawaii with our school, our boys baseball team plays there.

Would love to hop some islands this time over. Missed out on that last visit.
Other than that, guess we'll stay home by the pool.
