BIG plans this summer, 13 days and counting until our 7 week road trip from San Antonio to Seattle and back again. It's me and my 4 kids and 2 dogs in our travel trailer for 5400miles of scenic highway through Texas, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico. In addition to staying at several state and national parks along the way the highlight of the trip is going to be the Grand Canyon! I am sooooo excited!

I went to Hawaii (the Big Island) for a week; I've been home for two weeks. I will also be going to Portland, Oregon for a couple days in July for a wedding, and then Lake Tahoe for the 4th of July.

That will probably be it for me this summer---don't have money, and I need to write a thesis and sell a condo all within the next few months. I would love love love to go on a cross country road trip across America though. Someday...

My last two months have been one big vacation (4800 miles of US highways and backroads). I'm in Brattleboro, VT this week.

I would go with my wife in Suedtirol (Italian side of Tirol, where majority of people speaks German) on August, where there are Dolomites mountains, beautiful castles and churches.

No big trips for me planned this summer. Summer here in southern california is pretty nice, weather is generally more pleasant than almost anywhere else. I'll wait for the hordes of tourists to go home and then I'll take some vacation time in September or early October. Weather is still nice in most places, prices are much lower and things are more easy going. I don't like to fight crowds on vacation.

Hopefully, several different locations in PA in Aug/Sept & then San Diego in the winter. I may have to move the dates again, but I still hope to take both trips.

Have fun summers & vacations, everyone... VV

We are going on some weekend trips, but no where far. Summer is a busy time for my DH with work and football practice.
