I've only ever been to London/Edinburgh for Christmas.
I am sure Vienna would be festive with the Christkindlmarkt and the music.
Thing is, I have a kid in Paris. (Would love to do both cities!)

On top of this, I just remembered a domestic trip we have to take in October (a command performance family thing.)

Unless there is some really fantastic airfare sale, I'll probably have to wait another year. I never thought I would even want to go away for Christmas, but I do. Maybe we could just figure out a domestic destination.

San Diego is perfect around that time! The Hotel Del is decked out in lights, we have an event called the Parade of Lights, where people decorate their boats and you can watch from the shore, and the weather is usually mild. Though coming from FL, you'd freeze!

Not much travel this year. Mrs. Tek is retiring the beginning of October so we are saving all vacation time. She will get paid for unused and it's going to be a nice check!

Until then we will likely spend our usual long weekend in Kansas City for my birthday and some weekends away when we can.

After she retires we will be going to Las Vegas in late November and also visit friends in St. George, UT that we met on our last cruise. The rest of the winter will be spent doing research for future travel and Where To Retire.

After that it's Europe and travel for a place to retire.

I'm still on my kick of flying somewhere, and having no use for a car when I get there.

Two trips to CA planned. One to L.A. and one to SF and utilize their light rail system the whole time there, no car, translated: no stress!

I have relatives in WI, and I spent 14 years, basically, in northern Illinois. So I'm flying into Milwaukee and doing a bit of driving around. Hope I don't get lost.

We just booked a trip to Puerto Vallarta for June as well. I wanted Belize, but we only have 4 days and it's a fairly short flight from San Diego.

I'd love to be able to do more traveling, but it will probably have to wait until I'm retired.

For this summer, I'm planning a trip to Europe. Copenhagen for 2 days, then on to Stockholm for 1-2 days. From Stockholm, I leave on a cruise to Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Riga, Gdansk, Visby and back to Stockholm.

I haven't been off the eastern seaboard in a long time, so I'm really looking forward to this. My renewed passport just arrived yesterday.

Wow, that's really amazing that you've seen so many states. I have quite a good handful under my belt, but not in the 40's. Awesome!

Partner and I are taking a vacation to Miami next week. And then in September we're doing a honeymoon in NYC

I love Miami, well South Beach to be exact! Are you just going to Miami? Depending on how much time you have, I'd check out Key West. It's quite possibly my favorite US destination!

And NYC is my favorite city, though I'm a bit biased having grown up 10 minutes away! I spent lots of time there when I was young and go back every 4 months to visit family. Congrats on your marriage and enjoy your honeymoon!
