I prefer warm weather so I won't mind even off season places in the summer.

I like big hotels. Don't care about gambling, although Vegas would be fine. Shows are fine, but not mandatory. Can't afford to spend too much extra for them, though.

Will take a cab from airport to my hotel. (Swimming, and hopefully other immediate attractions within the large hotel.) But hopefully no more driving after that. I prefer walking around, especially to see other "touristy" attractions nearby.

...So far, Las Vegas seems like my ideal spot. I've never been to Disneyland but I don't think I would enjoy it as much as an adult.

I'd appreciate any comments or ideas. Thanks.
Not sure where you are geographically, but for a few days, I love Boston. My favorite hotel there is the Marriott Copley Square. It's big, connected to two shopping malls, has a great sports bar and another bar right in the lobby, and has a really nice pool, hot tub and exercise room, all with a beautiful view of the city. Some of the rooms also have beautiful views.

There's a ton of things to do within easy walking distance to the hotel. Another great hotel for the longer months is the Marriott Long Wharf, right next to the pier where boat cruises depart, and a few blocks away from the North End and Quincy Market.

Chicago is a very beautiful city. city is an interesting destination and offers a wide choice of places to visit. In Chicago you can visit museums, galleries, churches and many parks. See what Chicago offers its tourists:

I vote for Chicago too! Lots of interesting places/attractions to see; plenty of dining out choices; easy and safe to walk around (plus good public transport), both by day and by night.

I would suggest Boston too. There are many places that are easy to get to in the city. New England Aquarium, Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Science, colleges, parks, walk freedom trail throughout the city, Red Sox baseball, Cheers.

I can't speak to places to stay though, I like to do day visits.
