Oxkutzcab, Mexico. It's a Mayan town in the interior of the Yucatan, where the women still wear traditional dresses as everyday wear. Portugal (can't think of a city, I will just list an entire country) - the last unspoilt country in all of Western Europe. Subtle layers of overlapping history and culture everywhere - Ancient Rome, Moorish empire, Christian Templars, decaying old Colonial wealth, rural peasantry.
