Ship your carry-on ahead of time to the place you'll be staying at !! I do it, and believe me, it saves a lot of time, energy, and aggravation.

baggage fees are hidden flight fees. its a way of upping the fare.

SWA flies to many secondary airports and advertises in that area.

For example

FLL vs. Miami...

The alternative to hub and spoke is called "point to point" and works in established city pairs (ie Boston to San Francisco) but not in other smaller airports (ie State College to San Francisco).

If you leave hub and spoke we will lose service to many airports. Not the end of the world but air travelers will pay the price in the end. The airlines will downsize and slowly wither away.
