Just wondering if anybody has been to Bora-Bora.. That looks like some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, it seems more like a honeymoon place than a place for a younger guy to travel but I just loved the pics. Is it as nice as the pictures make it look?

I did not visit Bora Bora but Moorea which is the first island in French Polynesia after Tahiti. The beaches there are stunning, the water is cool and crystal clear and the scenery is amazing. If you ever visit the islands I would strongly recommend you take a ferry to get around because then you'll see so much more.

Bora Bora is awesome. Been twice! If you go, bring some $$$$$ and fork out the extra to stay in a over-the-water bungalow.
Moorea is second best for scenery

I've been to Pago Pago and it was stunningly beautiful.

I think anyone who has been to the South Pacific would agree that this comes closest to a tropical paradise ... and the Caribbean is really second-rate in comparison.

I have wanted to go to Bora Bora since I read Mitchener's Hawaii. Haven't made it there yet, but would absolutely LOVE to go.
