Hey all, I planned on going on vacation in September, but thanks to work I have to now take it in July.

I am young, 21, and I will be travelling alone(since none of my friends can afford this on such short notice) and I am looking for a place that has nice beaches and a great nightlife.

The place being hot doesn't bother me, as I currently work in Iraq, haha. Crowds aren't a big deal either. I want to see people. I see the same people every day!

I was going to suggest Ibiza, but I see you're already considering it. I would definitely go there if I were you. It's awesome for the younger crowd, with a ton of nightlife and great beaches. You'll have a blast!

What he - and others - said. Ibiza makes Cancun look like an over 55 community

Ibiza .... a no-brainer IMHO
St. Tropez ... too old and too expensive. Good if you want to pick up a 50+ millionaire
Monaco - see St. Tropez
Amalfi Coast - don't know it.
Mykonos - the place rocks especially if you go both ways
Rhodes - don't know it
Tokyo - never been there but ultra expensive so I am told
Cyprus - don't know it.

Ibiza ~ great if you want to party all night, sleep all day.

St Tropez ~ you might consider nearby Juan les Pins instead. Or Antibes.

Cote d'Azur-Monaco ~ see above. They are all on the Cote d'Azur. Or you could head further south to the Vermilion Coast, where you can party a bit more cheaply.

Amalfi Coast ~ absolutely gorgeous. Sorrento is not very Italian but the nightlife is plentiful.

Mykonos or Rhodes ~ plenty of history and plenty of partying. Many young people choose the Pink Palace on Corfu instead. Or they might go to Ios, where the Midsummer Festival (June 21st) is a huge celebration.

I don't know anything about Tokyo or Cyprus.

Any tips on where I should stay? Somewhere near clubs and whatnot.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Another question. I don't plan on staying there for two weeks and I want to check out other places. One of them being Amsterdam and then 2 out of these 3.

Stockholm
Vienna
Berlin

Anyone suggestions for a place with great nightlife and still fun things to do during the day?
