Does anyone know the % of Mormons in the Kennewick/Richland area? I have heard up to 70%. I know there are seminary schools across the street from all the high schools, does there need to be a certain % of mormons who attend these schools before a seminary school is built? I thought 70% was high, but I have heard it from a few people.

Wow! 70%? Although the Tri-Cities has a large LDS population, I highly doubt that it's 70%. I've heard more like 10-12% which is still rather large.
The entire state of Utah is just barely 70% LDS. edit: I just looked at an article that says that Utah's LDS population has now decreased to 62.4% |

There are more than a few, but I doubt it's near 70%. There is a large LDS church in Richland and an even bigger new one in Kennewick.

I believe the Columbia River Temple is located almost between Richland and Kennewick. There are over 16 Stake Centers in the Tri-Cities and an LDS seminary in Kennewick.
