I have to go to Finley tonight and that's not much of a detour. I'll see if I can identify and try it. If I can't, backup plan is to punt and go to El Chapala.

I was thrown by the looking for a big BBQ, and all there was was a normal sized one. The place is called El Aguila (the eagle) and is a small, informal Mexican place on 10th and Ainsworth (IIRC). I concealed the fact that I speak Spanish because I always get different food and service if they know it. I had a quesadilla which was pretty interesting because it was done more in the style of an omelet if you substituted corn tortilla for egg, but nothing special. Service fine and friendly, nothing special. Definitely not superior to Kiko's (based on this one visit and this one dish) and does not come close to Cinco de Mayo.

Cool, thanks, next time I am in that part of town I will give them a try.
The language thing is a good point. When the Russian restaurant was still open, I always got the VIP treatment because I speak the language.

I live just up Washington and to the right (after you go past the horse barns at 27th) of Kikos and have eaten there a number of times. I agree with cheap, but I've never been impressed flavor-wise. Since it's not very expensive, I have no problem with the value, but I'm not sure delicious would be my choice of word. What do you usually get there that you like so well? Maybe I'll try it myself and compare.

I spoke to a friend of mine from Mexico and he told me that El Aguila was not very good. I took his word for it.
I've only been to Kiko's once. I dropped someone off at KGH and had some time to burn. Pulled into Burger King drive thru and saw Kikos and immediately reversed out. Good decision. For the same price I got a lot more food that was tastier. I honestly could not believe what came to my table for $6.50. I had enchiladas (2) with rice and beans and they brought my chips and salsa. I didn't expect all of that because I figured it was more fast food style.

I would go with the Lorenzo Burrito it has Chile Colorado in it. Kikos Chile Colorado is very flavorable, much better then some of the more expensive mexican restaurants.
Although their Nachos are also good and you cannot go wrong with the Flautas.
