Default Do you like the Tri Cities weather?

The weather on Saturday was horrible.

Personally, I wished it rained a little more often.

I like it overall. The wind is awful though. But for the most part it is warm, sunny, and little to no precipitation. I lived in Seattle for six years and will never miss the rain.

Did you move there because of the rain?

Odd question, I know...

If you are asking if I moved to TC because of the rain in Seattle, then the answer is no. I didn't like the rain but weather is not the reason I would/wouldn't move somewhere. It was because of a job opportunity/promotion.

I hate it, and yet I love it. The summer seems too hot, until you slip into a pool. The wind can be horrible, but sometimes a storm is kind of fun to watch. The winter is horribly cold, and yet snow is hard to get because the conditions are rarely right. In case it isn't obvious I like snow.

By and large, I like the weather here. You get an occasional real hot spell like now, occasional "big" snow like New Years 2004 (I think it was '04), occasional dirt storm, but, compared to the smothering humidity of the East, sweltering heat of the Southeast, floods and God-awful winters of the Midwest, and the oven-like summer temps of the Southwest, hurricanes in FL and the Gulf/East coasts, this area is pretty good, actually.

It's pretty rare for the weather to be life-threatening here. In other regions, yeah, you do get weather that can kill you, outright.

Overall it's good....with what is happening with weather in other parts of the nation, I can deal with the heat and winds .....At least you normally do know the weather each day alittle hotter than the other, but overall HOT in the summer months...

Love the weather here -- good mix and nothing too nasty. I grew up in So Cal and spent 5 years here and then went back to San Diego area and I choose to come back up to the Tri Cities -- I missed it and I love the weather here. SD has great weather, don't get me wrong, I just didn't have a spare million around for a house....!

Hmmm

I guess the only negative is the windy sand storms. Though I guess they are preferable to windy, rainy storms o_O
