As far as I know they just went out of business. A gal I work with said that they tried to sell it but were asking too much (and they don't own the building).
Any good places in Prosser? We keep meaning to poke around there for something different than the usual fare.

Thanks for the info Kakwik.
In Prosser, the Blue Goose has been a standby for a long time, the Barn restaurant out on Wine Country Road is good, a little more homey than Blue Goose, there is Venti Pizzaria, which is actually a small chain, but good, also Keno's Cafe, Bern's Tavern (try the Bern's Burger), El Caporal Mexican Restaurant, have not tried Pizzaro 777 but have heard they are good, upscale with emphasis on wine, Becky's Coffee Shop has good soup & sandwitches, plus good expresso drinks, there is a Chinese restaurant downtown but I have not tried it, but have heard they are good.
For a small town really quite a few good restaurants. Oddly enough, no place I would warn you away from - one or another may not be your style, but all are good, honest outfits that "are what they are".
Several good wineries in the area, of course, plus at least one craft brewer - Whitstran.

Magill's Definitely Worth a Try!
I saw a couple of posts about Magill's on Road 68 and Argent. Great place! My husband and I eat there all of the time. It is a locally owned family restaurant. We usually go every weekend for their prime rib and hand-dipped halibut specials. But, we have eaten breakfast and lunch there, too. We have never been disappointed. Just last night I had the chicken fettucine which was awesome! The only problem is that it was way too much too eat. I brought home enough for probably two more meals.
We really hope that they can make it there -- we were talking to the owner the other day and he said that with the downturn in the economy it has been a tough start for them. Sounds like they are determined to make a go of it, though. We believe in supporting local businesses so we will most definitely continue to support them. We wish them the best of luck!

The sandstone cafe in downtown kennewick is very good. Sterlings was good, haven't ate there in a while so I can't say, they do have one in Kennewick now. I love the Double Dragon, it is on clearwater next to Wendy's. There is also Ruffs on Clearwater between Union and Morain.

There is a Winery restaraunt over by Queensgate. I am not sure of the name. A friend of mine had applied for a job there and I was with her in the car. I didn't know it was there until then. If you are going down the highway from Richland going towards BC you can see the tower that is part of the winery. You might check it out.

*Mourn* West Richland Golf Course
As many of you know, the West Richland Golf Course Restaurant, Bar and Pro-Shop building burned down the other day.
Was the best cheeseburgers and fries in the Tri-Cities, along with truly excellent Prime Rib on the weekends. Will sorely miss it, and hope that the current economic conditions do not preclude it from reopening.
I would hope that our hearts go out to Michelle and her crew, in their time of trial.

Best Non-Chains in Tri Cities thus far
We moved to the Tri Cities about 6 months ago and love to try new restaurants. Mind you, we like don't mind spending a little for for originality, cleanliness, and ambiance. Here are some of our favorites....
Phuket Thai[/b]- Off Canal in Kennewick. Excellent food, all made from scratch, served up on nice dinnerware. $8-$13 plate
Tagaris- Very good, seasonal food. Excellent wine (try their Mourvedre). Awesome atmosphere, especially in the summer when the patio is open. High end, but run happy hour specials, have patio menu that is less, and serve lunch (at least in the summer).
Sterlings- Great joint to hit up for breakfast.
Chicos Tacos- great when on the go. Excellent salsa bar.
The King and I Thai- Great lunch buffet, especially when you get there early!
Ice Harbor Brewing Company- Pretty good beer, and some great menu items.
Brick House Pizza (West Richland)- Fun little place with good pie!
Also visit Picazo 717 in Prosser and 26 Brix in Walla Walla are great up-scale places (but Walla Walla has other excellent fine dinining!!)
