Is it diverse in Richland, Wa?
Hi, I'm moving to Richland, Washington and don't know anything about the area. I was wondering is it diverse out there? Are there man blacks, mexicans or asians? I was curious. I was brought up in a diverse setting and I want my kids to be too!

From the info on city-data, Richland is mostly White, with a few Mexicans.
Kennewick and Pasco have a ton of Mexicans

I've been in Richland for a few years, and maybe have seen approximatly 6 black families (not that I have been out counting)everyone seems friendly in the area in general. Latino's (being mexican or spanish american) are readily present, I would imagine due to the work required in this part of the state, wineries, many orchards that need maintaining and picking of said fruit and alot of construction. Pasco having the larger volume of latino's...Richland , West Richland & Kennewick is primarily caucasion race...asian ppl do live in the Horn Rapids area, but not a large volume...Hope this helps you......

Tri-Cities is not very diverse from any aspect. The population is heavily made up of white people and hispanic people. I will also go so far as to say that within those two groups, it is not very diverse in terms of politics, religion, sexual orientation, etc.
In terms of race there are very few Asians or African Americans. In terms of politics there are very few liberals / democrats. In terms of religion it is mostly Catholic, Protestant, or Mormon. In terms of sexual orientation - you won't find much of a gay culture.
Pasco is probably the most "diverse" of the three, Richland the least. But even Pasco isn't very diverse in comparison to what you'd find in, say, Seattle or even Spokane. Generally speaking for the Northwest, Tri-Cities is pretty homogenous.

No. If you want diversity, this isnt the place, or many other places in Eastern WA for that matter.

Nope. Richland is the least diverse of the primary three cities.
Pasco's diversity is mainly a dual diversity of Anglos and Hispanics, but most of the region's black population is there. There are a few Asians scattered about the area, and there are enough Muslims and Jews to have a mosque (West Richland) and synagogue (Richland).
