Buy sunchokes in Tri-Cities?
Anyone know where I can buy these? Also known as Jerusalem Artichokes. Thanks!

I think both Winco in Richland and Yokes Fresh Market (West Richland, Pasco) have these.

I looked on Wikipedia and I was thinking of something else, but Winco does have a pretty good selection of fresh vegetables. I'm not positive I have seen Jerusalem Artichokes anywhere in Tri-Cities.

I went to WR Yokes tonight and they had them! They were tiny and in the organic section.
I also received some tubers today from Gurneys as I'm going to attempt growing a crop of them this year in the garden. I'm interested in them for their low-starch, low-glycemic index as an alternative to potatoes. I understand diabetics use them somewhat. I don't have glycemic issues myself, but they appear to be a nice, healthier alternative to potatoes.
Thanks again!

My dad used to grow Jerusalem Artichokes in the back yard when we lived in Kennewick. I do not know if they are a commercial crop in that area.

Try the Richland Farmer's Market. Every Friday. Great fresh local produce! Can't beat it!
