Exclamation Relocating To Richland

Need help finding a house to rent. I prefer not to live in an apartment - but that's all I can find advertised.

Of course I would prefer a decent neighborhood, but my new employer wants me there quick and I need to have a place to be after work.

I am moving by the end of July 2009. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Something to think about is that some of the older, non-chain motels will rent by the week or month - you can crash there till you find a house you can rent.

Once you get here you'll notice in the older section of town there are several duplexes, frequently you can rent half of one.

Good luck. Most of the houses for rent are not advertised.

Once here you can look in the Thrifty Nickel and Tri-City Herald to find houses to rent.

Richland has a lot of small, reasonably affordable older houses as well as apartments, so you should have options. If it has any bad neighborhoods, I don't know of them. The definition of a bad neighborhood in Richland is one that has some yahoos on the block holding weekly Cletus conventions with beer and grilled burgers and noisy kids, and that last year, had some cars vandalized. It rarely gets worse than that.
