Default Family Medicine in Tri-Cities?

We are moving to the Tri-Cities and I am pregnant. Where is a good place to have a baby, and what is the NICEST and most advanced family medical clinic in kennewick or richland?

Looking for a great doctor.

It may not be easy to find one that's taking new patients. While there's a growing shortage of fam-pracs in many places these days, it's especially so here.

I have noticed this too, there seem to be plenty of good dentists in town but particularly GP doctors are not at all common. Anyone have an idea why?

Have heard that malpractice insurance is higher here (WA in general and/or Eastern WA, Tri-City area) but I don't know that much about it.

I would recommend Kadlec Hospital to have a baby. They are a good hospital and the birthing suites are very nice, each one is private. I recently had a baby there and it was great.
My doctor was over at the Kadlec Clinic that is right across the street. Associated Physicians for Women has a great group of doctors and in my experience they were very knowledgeable and nice. I would recommend Dr. Howerton, Dr Anderson or Dr Mulholland.

This link is for a list of the doctors at Associated Physicians for Women

Kadlec Clinic : Providers

If you have any other questions you could send me aprivate message, I had my daughter 5 months ago so I have recently been through all of this.

That's where my wife is going for her pre-natal visits. My only complaint is that they're very busy so they tend to run behind schedule. But the two doctors I've met there so far (Rawlins and Smith) have been great.

Skip going to Associated Physicians for Women unless you like seeing a different provider every visit and may never meet the doctor who will deliver your baby until the birth. Go see Dr. Tomas Hernandez-Mejia. He is the best OB in the Tri Cities area.

All you have to do is ask for the same doctor every time you make your appt and you will not have to see a different doctor every time. Concerning your delivery though you might have one of the other docs deliver you because you never know when you will go into labor and the doc on call will deliver your baby. I would still recommend this office even if that were the case.
