We found a builder called Olin Homes in Pasco that seems to be reasonably priced and we like their floor plans. They will also let us move walls around and customize the home. How is their reputation? Any tips on working with them? Are they the same quality as AHO, or better?
TIA

I have an Olin built home and I like it. It is pretty well built, only a few things I wish they would have done better or different. I think they are a little better than Aho, at least when I built in 2003.

Default just our opinion

We'd prefer Olin ourselves over Aho or Hayden. My husband was in the subcontractor industry for awhile and knows their quality of work and what they're like to deal with. Heard/seen horror stories from both Aho and Hayden plus Hayden is overpriced. If we'd choose among affordable homes out there we would actually prefer to work with New Tradition. We did have a friend in an Olin home and it was nice, the only issue he had was the hood range falling off, the subcontractor used too shallow of staples but he complained and they fixed it immediately. Good response time says a lot.

I dont know if you've moved on from this subject but i have a feedback on Olin homes! I actually own one built by OLIN HOMES. Really great exprience as first time home buyers. They have over 20 yrs of experience in building homes and I've heard some negative things about AHO homes as far as what you pay for is what you get in quality. I thought it was great that we were able to change the floor plan up just alittle. We've already decided the next time we get into another one we are definitely sticking with Olin.

Hayden is the best of the three, by far.
