Could someone in the Kennewick area please steer me in the right direction? We are closing on our new home in three weeks and don't know what company will service our home for high speed internet, cable tv, electricity, phone etc. I went online to Charter and it appears that they don't service our new home, which near the corner of Oak and Game Farm Road.
My whole family is thrilled to be moving to the area. Our brief visit there in early spring left a wonderful feeling of neighborliness. Thanks for any info you can provide. |

Isn't Washington almost all Comcast or Qwest? Qwest seems to get some kind of new federal or state indictment practically every week. I have Comcast, but I'm not pleased about it. When the wind gets up around 40mph it will probably go out. That never happened when I was living in California. And then there is a lot of intermittency, too. Just really annoying.
So the two big providers are a couple of real winners. *smirk. |

I think in the Tri-Cities area all they have for high speed Internet is Charter.
Pretty sad concerning that they are the company for cable and high speed. That makes them a monoploy. Which creates bad service and high prices, sad... Comcast braodband the fastest and great customer service, oh their prices are unmatched... Hopefully they can find their way to teh Tri-Cites area sometime in the near future. |

Sorry the other two posts wern't familar with the area. I have lived in the that area for some time and my father lives east of you on Finley Rd. I am surprised that charter told you they don't service your home. My father gets verizon DSL and he is farther out from kennewick than you. ClearWire internet might also have a tower nearby. Hope you find something you are happy with

DSL doesn't compare with broadband...
DSL is almost slow as dail-up... |

Balco! That's not true!
DSL is broadband and can be much faster than dial-up. Perhaps not as fast and constant as cable but still considered broadband. I say this with all due respect. |

Comcast is much cheaper than Charter Cable...
I pay 24.99 for broadband a month for the past 3 years. I heard Charter is 60.00 a month, i guess mainly because they are a monoploy out there in the Tri-Cites. |
