After months of planning, my brothers are taking off to the Tri-cities this coming Friday - Next week (again, thank you everyone here that has helped, I appreciate it) They're going to find jobs and see if they can make a living. If they succeed, me and my mother will join them in a year and a half (after I graduate from college here in California/where I'm at)

I'm confident that they'll find jobs (They both applied to only four jobs in the Tri-cities, and already they were contacted by interested employers. Just four! That never happened here in California! This is among reasons why we're leaving)
However, like the title says, does anyone have any advice for us?
They plan at staying at a cheap motel for, if possible, about a month. They're also applying to more jobs so that they can attempt to move there with a job already (that'd be great).

I apologize if this question is too broad, and sorry for bugging so much. This is huge for my family (farthest north we've ever been to is Palmdale, CA for crying out loud ) and I'm hoping for the best. Thanks everyone.

One more thing: The Tri-cities isn't suffering in the manufacturing economy, is it? I believe it isn't nearly as bad as California, if I'm correct.

Don't refer to Interstate 82 (I-82) as "The 82", say "dude" too much, or use other California-isms.

Actually, depends on what you want to do, the Tri-City area is part of the best (Least bad?) economy in the US right now.

Depends on your brothers training, skills, and what they want to do for a living, but it's easier to find a job here than most other parts of the country.

We don't have much in the way of manufacturing, what we do have is largely related to nuclear.
