Peter Tobin I have a feeling he has killed a lot of people here in the UK that we will find out about, and it looks like you already have a madman killer in the north east US.

Yes, from what I have read, most serial killers are rapists. BTK, Bundy, Williams, Dahmer, just to name a few.

Yes, I was going to ask that. Do most violent criminals have some sort of sexual component to their crimes?

It would be great if we could intercede before crimes were committed. Researchers keep looking for a physical or chemical link, but there seems to be a strong environmental component, even when such indicators are found.

What is so odd, is that sometimes there are strong environmental causes, case of serial killer ED Henry (?), he was a nice guy, whose Mother told him he was evil, and a pervert from the time he was a small child, kept him locked in the basement at night. He probably would have been a normal person, if not for the muderous rage he had against his Mother.

But others, there is no clue. I remember one creepy case, this guy was caught for killing little noys, Gary Bishop, he seemed normal.

What would be chilling is if they find a gene in common with all these killers..would a child with that marker be watched for strange behavior? It could happen.

I would be relieved if they found that gene. These people could be spotted at infancy and we could probably develop special child rearing classes and lessons for the parents. They could be watched for violent behavior. Maybe, in time, we would learn how to chemically alter the bad gene. Turn it off.

That Ed Henry problem. I do think some people should be prevented from having children. I know that sounds awful. Either that, or we (collectively) should at least be able to monitor and remove a child if necessary. I saw this recent episode of the View. A young (maybe 8) child was 300 pounds and could not breathe. The women on the View all said a kid should not be taken from the parents. What a 'pc' bunch of donkey dust that is. The kid's life was being threatened by his weight which the parent/s obviously could not control. I would have no problem putting that kid and Ed into another home.

It's a horrible thing for people to have kids and then feel able to treat them like property, to abuse them or just totally ignore them and just kick them out the door as adults.

Dahmer was the odd case in which it is said that he had a fairly normal home life.

Edmund Kemper - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ed Kemper, not Henry.
