I don't think the jury will like him very much watching how he was not very respectful to the parents...he would have won more respect if he would have treated them nicer while still asking the same questions...

Now we have to see what proof Baez has to back up his B.S. story in the opening otherwise his client will be dead!

Baez can't put Casey on the stand , he knows she will commit perjury and therefore he could lose his license.Look for the defense to make alot of "noise" with that Kronk character (found Caylee's remains)and other red herrings!!They have psychics on the witness list for heavens sake!!They are going to throw enough sh#$ on the wall in hopes that something will stick (all they need is one)with the jury!!

i agree 100%. The prosecutor today was a gentleman, when he saw Cindy break down he shortened the inquisiton.

Baez is looking crude and ruthless...this does not fare well with female jurors, mothers, and parents.

Its very sad to see Cindy and george put through this...and CA could care less, She is a true narcissist and has to be insane to have lied to her mother like that for years, killed her baby, and then sit on that stand with the smirky pout of contempt.

It's really hard to say what Baez will do after the state's case. He's kind of in a rut right now because he can't prove any of this crap he's claiming. It would make it so much worse to put her on the stand. The prosicution will eat her alive. She can not take the stand, that girl will shoot herself in the freakin foot by doing that. but Jose Baez knows that Casey is the only one who can testify to this BS story of abuse. There's no witness on this green earth who could testify to something that Casey made up except for Casey herself. So I don't know if she'll take the stand, it could go either way.

From the poll above, only 1 = take the stand [and that was me-smile] and the only reason I think she might take the stand is because she is sociopathic, narcisstic AND with those dramatic traits [okay, a tad of sarcasm], she might try to win at least a little sympathy or perhaps push a little did not mean for this to happen -- I can certainly see her attorney suggesting that a jury may well want to hear 'her side of the story' and hope, with some additional polish, she will do moderately well on the stand; however, the downfall would be, without question [in my opinion], the prosecutor having a turn w/her and that would be a whole different approach and I think if the prosecutor has the opportunity to cross-examine her, it will not take more than perhaps 3 question to have a jury see clearly the kind of person she really is - a faux paux for her to take the stand, for sure, but it might be something she is willing to risk just so she can have her day in court.

She has been in jail long enough to have grown her hair as long as it is.

Why would you think she has hair extensions?

I think Baez will keep her off the stand, I think he believes her guilty but is doing his best to make her look better, no one can become an attorney who is dumb, he actually has nothing to work with but is leaving "reasonable doubt" in the jury's minds. Best he can do, CA sealed her fate by not fessing up right from the beginning. He is trying to keep her off death row and get her jail time.

As far as CA taking the stand, it would be a blood bath and will not happen. The state will show her as she really is and she is such a loose wire that she will explode.

Totally agree with you loveautum.

Casey taking the stand could do more harm than good, one flub on her part could be what convicts her. Much safer for her attorney to go after the "beyond a reasonable doubt" route to get an innocent verdict or a lesser sentence.

It's not just her words that could crucify her, but her body language. These are all things the defense has to take into consideration. Here is an interesting blog from Dr Lillian Glass who is a body language specialist....scroll down just a bit.
