THE STATE COULD NOT EVEN PROVE HOW THE CHILD DIED, WHEN SHE ACTUALLY DIED, and COULD NOT PROVIDE A CREDIBLE MOTIVE.

How do YOU know that Caylee's death was not accidental? How do you know that? How do you PROVE that her death was not an accident?

They convicted her of lying because they had video tapes of the lying and she admitted it basically.

Your arguments are TOTALLY EMOTIONAL. You should know that we don't try cases based on emotions; we try cases based on FACTS. You do not have the FACTS to prove beyond and to the exclusion of every reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murder her child.

Why do people lie if they don't have anything to hide? That's YOUR evidence? Geeezzzz.

People lie for a variety of reasons. Sometimes people lie to protect their loved ones in some circumstances. People lie because they are fearful; maybe someone out there wants to hurt them. And people lie because they don't want to be convicted of something they didn't do! If you believe that hogwash about if you're innocent you will be acquitted, then you're really naive. Being a liar does NOT make someone a murderer.

Huh-why don't you google Casey Anthony? She told three different people that she did it last night...it was so serious the judge had to call a meeting this morning..but she's innocent right?

I hope that she will get some serious counseling and learn something about her life patterns and why she has them. Who knows? Maybe this experience will lead her to college and a whole new perspective on life. I would guess that prior to this case, Casey had never, ever done any real examination of her life and why she behaved the way she did. I also think that the death of her little girl is going to catch up with her emotionally and hit her really, really hard. I have known people who have gone through the loss of central people in their lives who simply remain in shock for years before it "hits" them and they break down. Anyway, I hope I never hear of her again as a result of some wrongdoing.
Look at Amy Fisher. It's years later, she's paid her dues to society but she's now doing porn and on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.

Granted Casey wasn't convicted in a court of law but she's convicted in the court of public opinion. We'll be seeing her again in some rehab "show".

But, they got all puffed up, and wanted to do the big "murder" death penalty trial. That was the real crime here.
And the State's strategy backfired on them. I think they made this a death penalty case because of the publicity. Death penalty cases are about politics for the elected official in the justice system, like State Attorney and judges.

They reached too far and it backfired on them. I heard on TV that Jeff Ashton announced his retirement this afternoon.

I would try to get a restraining order on Casey in order to keep her away from my property until I could get out of there. Who knows though, they might not be ABLE to get out of town yet. If SHE'S not guilty of the murders, who else had access to the trunk of that car? They better watch their backs.
I have two daughters and a son ... how in the world can Casey Anthony face her father after telling the WHOLE WIDE WORLD he was molesting her?

This molestation only came out in Baez's opening statement and it was a very nasty statement.

Like I said I have children and I assure you if I was or had been molested by my father he would have never been allowed around my children. I wasn't molested but I think most 'normal' females that have been would feel the same way about their child.

I still cannot get over Caylee Marie Anthony is dead and her killer will soon be walking free and breathing our air.

I hope not. Casey Anthony was hanging out with an entirely different mileu from Amy Fisher. I don't see a lot of common ground between those two. Of course there will be those people in the public who will behave badly and try to follow Casey Anthony and cause her problems. That's unfortunate.

I'm a big believer in transformation. I don't want to be totally jaded and cynical. I'm not naive. I am almost daily in the presence of harsh realities of life and the unfairness of it, but I have not lost all my idealism.

As I said, the today the law didn't work as it should.

Circumstantial evidence is sufficient for convictions in our courts. The circumstantial evidence, especially those involving her behavior such as not reporting her child missing and deliberately trying to thwart law enforcement attempts at investigating her child's dissapearance and murder, leaves beyond a reasonable doubt that she was involved in the death of that child. There is no other "reasonable" explanation for that behavior.

There are forensic experts who disagree with the prosecution in almost every murder case. This doesn't say anything about the quality of the evidence. Those rebuttals were not convincing.

I'm pretty sure this already a crime. I'm just disappointed it wasn't added into the lesser charges.
