You are whining and moaning about the posters here . This forum is here for opinions and your opinions are speculative at best.

Double jeopardy was not adhered to in the Rodney King trial so it failed .

Justice can be bought and jurors can be airheads. Now that is not speculation.

With your attitude with your posts and know it all spirit we lowly peons with no legal background do have what many trained people don't possess and that is plain ole' common sense and a thirst for righteousness.

So where is your contribution to fix the system? I don't hear anything from you.
He is prolly one of the Pinellas jurors. idiots.

In the Rodney King case, the fact that King was African American and the circumstances of his assault made the police officers who committed it subject to the Civil Rights Act. The federal government is a different sovereign than state government. Double jeopardy applies only when the same sovereign attempts to prosecute a criminal for the same acts. In a case that doesn't involve a racially motivated crime, the federal government lacks any jurisdiction to prosecute. Therefore, CA cannot be prosecuted for some offense by the federal government.

So are you alleging that the jurors in the CA case were "bought"? Are you saying that because jurors can be "bought" and can be "airheads" that we should abolish the jury system? Let's be clear because your posts are anything, but that.

I suppose this was the argument for the lynch mob. Those ordinary people don't need to be confused with the facts or the law in a case.

Ummmm....I'm the one defending it. I'm not saying it needs fixing. I do wish there were fewer "bonehead" people out there. We'd get higher quality juries. But that's a criticism of our culture and educational system, not the criminal justice system.

Bosco ... well ... I never noticed your negative remarks and attempts to close this thread down until after the trial. I started this thread! So you must have returned to Pinellas County and in hiding ... or back to Jose's office in Kissimmee or ... could you be one of Casey's relatives. Common sense you don't have and you just want to argue with people. Do you kick your dog or cat ... maybe slap your wife around. That is exactly how you come across.

No matter how much you quote and argue and tell us how smart you are, you will never convince any of us (except one or two) that justice was served in the Casey Anthony case. She is guilty and the jury screwed up big time.

Why do you assume many things as if I said them. I didn't say the jurors on the Casey Anthony trial were bought. There were plain airheads. Their own mouths and reasoning system declared them to be airheads. No one had to buy them off. Did I say we should abolish the defense system? It is getting corrupt is my beef.

Many celebrities who have" the name" can get favored from judges than us regular folks. You haven't noticed? Most on the planet have noticed.

Oh, and what about Reginald Denny. Reverse racism beating a guy nearly to death in the riots of LA.

All got off and one served @4 years.

Denny still has slurred speech and was never the same. What! No civil rights act for other races?

Just plain airheads...is being kind.

Did OJ jurors make much off book deals? I recall Mark Eiglarsh atty mentioning that they didnt- people were disgusted- this case is very similar- people are disgusted and fed up.....

So maybe one of the "experts" here that talk about how great our criminal justice system here can answer a question for me?
Forget about the humongous library of the "law" that would take a century to read, I want to know how a witness can lie on the stand and get away with it? When the other side proves they lied?
Why aren't they convicted of perjury instead of "awe, she is the mother so we understand".
Every person in prison has a mother. Every mother convicted of murdering her child has a mother that has lost her grandchild.
To me, all the jury heard in the Casey Anthony case was a bunch of lies starting with her attorney.
If people are allowed to lie in a court of law, how could anybody ever get a fair trial?
How many people are really sent up for perjury?

It does seem as though you have argued your own opinion on and on in this case while attacking those who have another opinion for no reason at all. If you think the jury did a bang up job, then fine, feel the way you want to. Those who have a different opinion should be able to speak their opinions out as well.

Like someone mentioned in another thread, if you tried to bring charges against every family member who lies to protect another, you'd have the court system backed up full of these cases. It's just not feasible to go after them all.

No one is stopping anyone from speaking their opinion, but they're also not getting to spew their venom and ignorance without it being challenged either. It is a discussion board after all.

It's also pretty telling that the people (not you necessarily) playing the victim card here are squarely on one side of the debate.
