Father cuts off head of son (children, news, penalty, people)

Horrible local news story. I hope they put him in general prison population. He cut off his son's head over the kitchen sink then left the head on the driveway to make his wife feel stupid for leaving the son alone with him. Thankfully, a volunteer firefighter saw the head and called police before the mother came home. Makes me wonder what he's done before this because you don't go from nothing to decapitation with no acts of violence in between.

People should be required to get some sort of approval to have children. This story is heart breaking.

This is one of the saddest cases i have ever heard of. Poor child. Each time I read of abuse or killing of a child, I think it can't get any worse. Then it does. I carry these children in my heart.

An unspeakable crime. There is nothing I can say to this, just too damn tragic. Hearing about such crimes, makes me hug and love my own kids evern more, as well as all other kids that I come in contact with. I love kids. This is beyond sick. Unbearable to even think about.

Me too AnnieA ... this one just kills me. Evil personified. I cannot even try to conceive what this child went through at the hands of his own father.

I hope they put him in the general population in prison. It seems like every time I turn around I'm hearing about a child killed by a parent. Makes me think we should sterilize every child at birth and make them apply for a license to parent when they are 25 if they want it undone. People like this should never have children.

I saw this on the internet news a couple of days ago and it made me sick. The child was apparently handicapped and his mom took her truck in for service so she could take him to the doctor the next day. His "dad" was apparently tired of taking care of him and got "right to work" soon after she left. I don't know if Louisiana has the death penalty or not but if so, I think he should move to the head of the line. The article I read indicated that the police officers and EMTs who responded to the scene were absolutely devastated (who wouldn't be??) I cannot imagine a more horrible image. He'll probably plead insanity or maybe somebody was mean to him when he was a kid (probably his mommy) or it'll be somebody's fault besides his. These types of people seem to me to be surfacing in large numbers over the last decade or so - what in hell is wrong with people anyway?????
