Prices have gone up, I guess. Albert DeSalvo and his sister were sold to a farmer to buy dad some beer in the late 1930s -- for nine dollars.

There are times I would have sold my youngest son...or given him away...for free...

Okay. Bad Mommy! No, I never did sell him..but he sure cost me alot of grief.
