Claudhopper, how many times do we hear "and they seemed like SUCH nice people", how true this is...reprehensible is probably one of the better terms I can come up with.
We had an almost identical case here in Central Fl. I just read an update on that childs case. She still dosen't talk but, is coming along in other ways. She was/is a little older, I think. Horrible case.
eta: anothere article says they will stand trial in December 2011. We'll see. I'll bet they are going to say she suffered from PPD. I don't know what his excuse will be.
Same was said of the Barhona's in Miami. Yet, there were red flags every where, and CPS was called out to do a welfare check on Nadia, told she was out with her Father..."Oh, okay". Fine. The CPS worker goes home. Did not call the police, to require the Mother to produce the child, as she should have done. Nadia was probably dead by then anyway, but Victor could have been saved a horrible experience, he almost died the next week.

the card will be reviewed at a later date for evidence, what the hell? It's hard to imagine what might be on that card, but I sure do want to know asap.
People can be such despicable creatures.
I do NOT understand why this still happens when it is perfectly legal to abandon your baby in an ER without any legal consequences. Just let someone else raise her if you're such a useless, violent adzehole. What is so hard about that?
It's one thing when one parent is nuts, but how do TWO parents collaborate on something like this? What do you talk about and how do you sleep?
I just don't get it. Makes you wonder just how many kids are in situations like this who are never found.

Alot of people SEEM like nice people. I always get a kick out of it when people say things like " they aren't capable of doing such a thing" or " there is just no way they did that, I know it" I just want to say YOU DON'T KNOW **** MAN! I go through life with the belief that ANYONE is capable of ANYTHING. Even that little 80 yr old women across the way.
