...and I have to say I love that even NPR, where I heard this, is calling Abdulmutallab "The Underwear Bomber." This is the guy who set his pants on fire on the Dutch Air flight that was about to set down at Detroit Metro Airport Christmas, 2009. He is currently claiming that his imam, Al-Awlaki, the same guy who inspired Major Hasan to perpetrate the Fort Hood Massacre, is still alive, even though he was vaporized a short time ago by an airstrike. He was removed from the court during voir dire because he wouldn't stop hollering.
If he keeps that sort of statement up it should be a fun trial!
As of this morning, 13 potential jurors had been excused, most of them for bias. They had already selected 16 women and 4 men as potential jurors, which sounds like an awful lot to me.
