I am glad I won't have to see her ugly face on the news anymore.

And she is guilty, she has played the media and won. She was acquitted because of all the media attention this case got.

When Knox gets off, these people applaud. When OJ got off, they were outraged and angry. It is a shameful aspect of this country's continuing struggle with race, bigotry, the inequities caused by unearned privilege, and the double standard that negatively impacts perceptions about and treatment of black people.

When a verdict came down like the one today, a verdict that makes these racists happy, one can get the feeling that an enormous injustice has just occurred. One gets the impression that, were Amanda Knox a black American woman, there would not be such an outrage over her conviction or the initial assumption that she was innocent. The racial aspect is ever-present as is the double-standard.

Some years ago, a tragic murder occurred in Las Vegas, where a young white man followed a young black girl into the ladies room, then snapped her neck, instantly killing her. See link below. The young girl had been left to roam around the casino by her gambling and neglectful father where she found herself being pursued by this young white guy and his student friend from UC-Berkeley. The Berkeley student watched his friend follow the young girl into the restroom, even peeked in to hear him trying to sexually molest her in a bathroom stall before he snapped her neck. The Berkeley student did nothing to stop his friend from killing that girl or even pursuing the 7 year-old into the ladies room. Very tragic and disturbing circumstances that made both men two of the lowest form of human beings in history, not fit to live. Maybe a similar occurrence happened here where Knox and her boyfriend knew that Kercher was either being killed or likely to be killed. They did nothing to stop it, preferring instead to have sex and turn up the music to avoid hearing her screams and pleas for help. Knox gave a false alibi for reasons unknown. Who knows? One certainly doesn't have a legal obligation to step in, but still, it leaves a bitter taste about the possibility that Knox ignored her desperately pleading roommate as she was being killed by someone Knox knew was capable of doing it.

Jeremy Strohmeyer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I remain extremely skeptical of Amanda Knox and I certainly don't hold her in high regard. My thoughts remain with Kercher's family.
In my estimation, this is the way sane, rational thinking people should view this crime and Amanda Knox.

To see certain women, and some men, appear giddy that she is set free only shows me the mental and emotional shortcomings that are rife within American society.

Please people stop the hate speech against the US or Americans! Me and many over here are not happy at all and don't support Knox!

The media does always support "his" people and that is the case in every country. But do we have to believe it?

Remember the German guy who got behind bars in Turkey for the rape of a British underage girl? The German media supported him while the media in the UK hated him. He came free and the anger was huge in the UK which I do understand. So it's not always the "evil" Americans.

Stop the hate and look at the facts or the Italian court.

Why? Would you prefer a girl be locked up for life for a crime she did not commit?

His DNA was in the room. He robbed Kercher. He sexually assaulted Kercher. He fled the country. He already has a criminal record. Yet all we hear in the media is Knox and the (flimsy) evidence against her.
Well, if this is true then why were Knox and her boyfriend on trial and why was she in jail for 4yrs.
Did the Italian government just want to frame an innocent american?

The Italian prosecutor, Mignini, has a history of making up fantastical charges against people who are innocent and has been sanctioned by the Italian court system for doing so.

Google "Douglas Preston" and "Mignini" for the story of what he tried to do to a best-selling American author who was investigating the "Monster of Florence" case and who criticized Mignini's handling of the case.

As for Mignini's accusations against Amanda Knox and her BF, he actually got that sordid pure fiction story from a fringe blogger, not from any evidence. See the links in my post below for information:

As for Amanda Knox herself, I find her to be a selfish jerk. She acted the way she did because she just didn't care about Meredith Kircher, she was only wrapped up in her little world with her BF. She has more than paid the price for her callousness and stupidity.

Sure. This wasn't the first time the prosecutor came up with such crazy charges.

She was coerced into signing a confession after being interrogated for hours, without having a lawyer and she barely knew Italian.

Absolutely.

There are real "Amandas" all over the United States who are serving prison terms for crimes that truly did not commit but these women receive no sympathy from these melodramatic nuts who hop from one tragedy (Natalee Holloway) to the next (Casey Anthony) to the next (Amanda Knox) like they are watching some sort if over-the-top network mini-series.

I saw something about the prosecutors being able to appeal or file new charges etc? Interesting that they don't have double jeapordy charges.
